Cookie notice ✦
Three groups of cookies, listed one by one, with the honest note that this site does not use a consent banner.
What cookies are
Last updated: 7 October 2026
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember something about your visit: which language you chose, whether you have been here before, which page you came from.
Some cookies last only while the tab is open (session cookies); others stay for a fixed time (persistent cookies). Some are set by the site itself (first party) and others by services the site uses (third party).
Essential
vd-lang — stores the language you picked with the EN|ES switch, so the pages you open next stay in that language. First party, up to one year. It contains only en or es, nothing that identifies you.
Without this cookie the site still works: you would simply be back to the language of your browser on your next visit.
Measurement
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — tells us how many people read each page, where they came from and how they moved through the site. Third party, up to two years. It reports aggregated information; the IP address is not used to identify you personally.
How to block it: your browser settings, or the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking it does not change how the site works for you.
Advertising
When we run a paid campaign for a client, Meta or Google may set their own cookies on the pages that campaign points to, to measure whether the ad produced a visit or an enquiry and to avoid showing the same ad over and over. Those cookies belong to the platform and are governed by its own privacy policy.
How to limit them: the Google Ads Settings page, the Meta ad preferences page, or your browser settings. Where a browser or an extension blocks them, the campaign simply measures less.
A note about consent, and what is not here
This site does not show a cookie banner. The language cookie is what makes the bilingual site work, and the measurement cookies are the standard configuration of Google Analytics.
There are no social media tracking pixels on this site, no session recording, and no advertising cookie unless a campaign is running. Fonts are loaded from Fontshare and Google Fonts to render the typography; those requests do not set tracking cookies on your device.
If you are in a region that requires prior consent for measurement or advertising cookies, use the browser and platform controls above: they are respected, and the site keeps working with them in place.
Your browser controls
Every current browser lets you see the cookies stored, delete them and block them per site. The privacy or security section of its settings is where that lives.
Blocking all cookies makes this site slightly less convenient (you may have to choose your language again) but nothing breaks.
Changes and questions
If we add or remove a cookie, this page changes and so does the date at the top. It is worth a look when we publish something new on the site.
Questions about cookies or about data in general: [email protected]. The rest of the detail is in the privacy policy.
